Here I will post ideas, resources, and information related to technology integration. Some ideas are mine some are my students others belong to my children and friends. I will always tell you how the ideas came to my attention.
As a student I really enjoyed project-based assessments. To me, they were less stressful from a grading standpoint, because they always, almost came with a rubric. Thus I knew exactly what was expected of me. Now that I am older, I am seeing the benefits to a multiple choice exam, simply because projects are very time consuming, and being an adult leaves me with less free time to construct a well thought out project. I feel as a teacher, I would like to assign a lot of projects though, because they do provide my students with immediate feedback, as well as gives the students the opportunity to work on their own communication skills.
As a learner i like formative assessment rather than summative assessment. I like formative assessments because I get really stressed out over taking test. Taking formative assessments are quick and easy and stress free. As a teacher I would give more formative assessments rather than summative assessments to see where my students are and to make sure that I am giving them the most amount of knowledge they need in order to succeed.
The type of formative assessment I like as a learner, is when I’m being asset during the time of learning. The type of summative assessment I like most is multiple choice or true and false questions. I tend to get nervous during assessments at the end of the semester wondering if I have studied the correct content.
The type of formative assessment that I like most are graphic organizers. It is a nice way to put down what I learned and is easy to read. The type of summative assessment I like most is multiple choice tests. I like them because it gives me the options to choice from and I don't have to come up with the answer off the top of my head.
